Apparently Dark Souls games on PC are 'special' because they tend to get confused when an unknown controlled is plugged into the computer. Dark Souls 3 has terrible input handling which often breaks gamepad support. The most responsiveness I can manage with my Controller is getting the track-pad to work as a mouse-pad using DS4Windows. The biggest, most frustrating part is that the controller is working for Dark Souls III (not to mention other Steam/non-Steam games), but not the 1st or 2nd games.
